An incredible season of transition for Wicklow camogie was crowned with an emphatic 1-15 to 1-5 win over Mayo in the Nancy Murray Cup final on Saturday afternoon in Birr, and manager Brendan Tobin feels that the sky is the limit for his panel.

Wicklow put their heartbreaking defeat in last year’s Nancy Murray Cup final behind them in emphatic style this afternoon in Birr, as they produced a wonderful all-round display to comprehensively outplay Mayo to win the All-Ireland junior A camogie championship for the first time in their history.

Two of the county’s greats were to the fore once more as Down retained their senior status and sent Offaly down the intermediate grade as a result of their well-deserved victory in the Glen Dimplex All-Ireland senior camogie championship relegation play-off at the National Games Development Centre in Abbotstown.
The Camogie Association are disappointed the Gaelic Players Association (GPA) has not engaged in a meaningful way with the Association regarding the State of Play Report since 14th June 2023.
