A great day was had by all at the 2022. U.15 Leinster Camogie Blitz at Portlaoise GAA Club on Saturday 27th August.
The sun was splitting the stones as Bus after Bus arrived and were directed to their designated parking spot by the ever reliable volunteers at Portlaoise GAA
The shop was open with refreshmets, programmes and loto tickets flying out the door.
Ailish Whitty had put a huge ammount of work into making today a success and was of course supported by our Chairperson Linda Kenny and all the Leinster executive.
There were plenty of umbrellas raised and it was so nice to note it was to shield people from the sun and not the rain.
A special word to all the mentors, BE PROUD, Not one cross word was heard all day. All we heard were words of encouragement to the girls saying how great that block was or don't worry, next ball.
At U.15 it can be a vunerable age for girls who may take things personally when we as mentors might say things in a heated match but it's not ment directly at a player but today the mentors were exceptional, well done to all.
