A Dubliner will assume the position of Chair of the Leinter Camogie Council in 2016 for the first time in almost 30 years. In the election for Cathaoirleach Tofa (Chair Elect) at the Leinster Camogie Convention in Portlaoise on Saturday 17 January 2015, Pat Martin from the St Brigid's Club in Blanchardstown defeated Richard Mulholland of the James Stephens Club in Kilkenny.
Pat is the current Development Officer of (left) Leinster Council and Chair of the Dublin County Board and will take over from present Chair Rachel Hogan of Wexford next year. He will hold the position for a three year term.
The last Dub to hold the position was Phyllis Breslin in the 1990s.
Linda Kenny of Carlow is the Council's new Registrar. She replaces Brigid Carney of Meath who has been an Executive Committee member since 2003 and a regular attender at Leinster Council meetings since the late 1970s. 
Brigid (4th from left) now becomes one of the Leinster Council's first team of Vice Presidents where she will join Maureen Fulham, Marie Woods, Sile Wallace and current President of the Association Aileen Lawlor.
In response to a question from Wicklow delegate Breda Donnelly in relation to the imminent formation of a Womens GPA, Aileen Lawlor said the Camogie Association would keep developments in that area under review but that the Association would continue the address the welfare needs of not only intercounty players but all players through existing structures.
