I wish to sincerely thank Hilda, fellow Leinster Executive members, the Camogie Association and our Leinster counties for the many messages of congratulations and best wishes since yesterday.
I am very humbled and honoured to have been nominated as the Camogie recipient for the Gradaim an Uachtarán CLG award 2021.
Camogie and the GAA is embedded in every Irish community where community spirit and togetherness can be generated and fostered. I have always enjoyed the volunteer aspect of my involvement in Camogie or the GAA previously and the sense of reward I have always felt from all my involvement. I have never really seen it as hard work but rather in giving to the Association and providing a platform for role models to be fostered and developed for our future generation and especially female role models.
Through all my involvement I have met so many wonderful and positive people along the way many of whom are now my dear and valued friends.
To you the many volunteers my sincere appreciation and thanks again. Keep up your great work for our games and stay safe and well
